hi, my name is Anthea

Did you know the name Anthea means “flower”?

I am the owner and floral designer of Mindful Florals. I grew up here in the Seattle area so it was easy to take all the luscious floral and green growth here for granted in the Pacific Northwest. Once I started to slow down, I found an undiscovered love for every blossom of every season.

I love floral designs that are natural and elevated. Using natural elements, you can create a garden inspired, textural celebration. My design work often includes the flowers from my own cutting garden, wild and influenced by their growing environment.

But beyond what I like, I really care about what you want. I want your special day to be just as incredible as you’ve always wanted it to be. Along the way, I’ll be honest and transparent with you in our communication. I can’t wait for you to see your flowers!

In other parts of my life, I’m a wife, mother, therapist, and lover of food. My background is in marriage and family therapy, and I’m still a practicing, fully licensed LMFT. I love being a therapist, and I love working with queer/trans teens. My husband and I have two kiddos and a dog, all under 5 years old so life is pretty fun (and crazy)! We spend most of our time planning our next meal and playing with our children.

I look forward to working with you!

Warmly,
Anthea
